SOUTHGATE — Representatives from “Tomorrow’s Energy” raised the suspicions of a resident in the 13000 block of Strathcona Street on Feb. 27 when they asked to see her latest DTE bill and offered to tell her about recent rate decreases.

The complainant said she signed a new service form, with her email address and phone number, but did not provide any financial account information.

She said when she called DTE, they advised her to file a police report, and said the problem with misrepresentation was ongoing.

One of her neighbors reported a similar experience.
