TAYLOR — The city awarded Al’s Asphalt Paving Co. a CDBG-funded contract to complete the asphalt resurfacing of Westpoint, Cornell, Syracuse, and portions of Avalon/Dolan streets.

The streets are located between Van Born Road and I-94 freeway.

The construction work is scheduled to begin the week of April 1. All of the design/construction is being funded through the Taylor Community Development Block Grant. Work is expected to be done between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Parking will not be allowed within the construction limits. One lane in each direction will be maintained throughout the duration of the project. Garbage pickup, and mail and parcel delivery will not be interrupted during construction.

All residents located in the construction areas who will be impacted by the project will be provided a public notice prior to the start of the project. Property owners with sprinkler systems between the road and sidewalk should mark or flag the location to help prevent damage.
