ALLEN PARK — A man reported Jan. 24 that a storage unit in Noblesville, Ind., was rented in his name without his permission or knowledge, which he discovered when he received a past-due bill for the unit.

A employee of the storage business advised that they will take the lock off the unit and sell the contents at auction.

A secondary name attached to the rental unit agreement is a person known to the victim, whom he believes is now incarcerated for an unrelated fraud.

The victim said he does not wish to press charges, but he did want the situation documented.
