SOUTHGATE — A woman who was under the influence of an unknown substance reported the morning of Jan.16 that her television, valued at $300, was missing from her residence when she returned home from a hospital stay.

The woman said her friend had bought the television for her, and she suspected that he had taken it back. She was told that it was a civil matter for the courts to decide, and that she should wait until she was more clear-headed to pursue the matter further.
