MELVINDALE — Four illegally registered vehicles were impounded and towed between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. Feb. 2 from the alley near the Budget Inn, 17050 Raupp Road.
Out of 10 cars parked nearby, four were seized. One had a counterfeit paper plate and was unregistered. Another had accident damage, a flat tired and a license plate canceled by the Michigan Secretary of State. Two other vehicles had no license plates and were unregistered.
The area has been a frequent dump site for unregistered vehicles as well as those without plates.
