MELVINDALE — The driver of a white Chevy Sonic rolled over on Schaefer Road near I-75 the morning of Jan. 15 after the driver lost control on the icy roadway and struck a guardrail, which caused the car to roll backwards and on its side.

The vehicle missed a nearby utility pole, and the driver was uninjured. Dearborn firefighters checked out the driver medically, and her vehicle was extricated and towed.

Drivers are cautioned to slow down on cold, snowy days when road conditions are slippery.
