TRENTON — A victim filed a police report Nov. 27 when $5 in change was stolen from her unlocked car, which was parked in her residential garage with the access door likely left wide open.

Police officials declined to reveal the location of the theft while the unsettling act of larceny from an auto remains under investigation.

The victim was given an incident number and was promised that a police official would be in contact with her for follow-up.
