MELVINDALE — A heating and cooling company’s work van was damaged during an unsuccessful break-in attempt Jan. 6 in the 18200 block of Harman Street.
An employee noticed a damaged exterior door handle, then discovered that the driver’s door lock and exterior lock had been punched out. However, the vehicle’s interior deadbolts on all of the doors prevented the thief from gaining entry.
