TAYLOR — A 34-year-old Brownstown Township woman was cited for retail fraud the afternoon of Nov. 6 when she was caught trying to leave Walmart, 7555 Telegraph Road, with 29 items of clothing valued at $283 concealed in her tote bag.
A loss prevention employee saw the woman remove store tags from clothing and conceal the items in her bag before attempting to leave the store without rendering payment.
She was charged with larceny, advised on court procedure, and released at the scene.
