WYANDOTTE — A 2022 Ford F-150 pickup and an attached enclosed trailer containing approximately $20,000 worth of tools was reported stolen the morning of Nov. 16 in the 600 block of North Drive.
Deputy Police Chief Archie Hamilton said that, unfortunately, this type of crime is not uncommon, and he recommends that people take extra precautions to deter this type of theft.
“Devices such as steering wheel locks or parking the vehicle in a manner to complicate its access will deter criminals,” he said. “Unfortunately, hardworking people have to take extra measures to secure their belongings because the current penalties for committing such crimes in our state are inadequate.”
