TAYLOR — An alarm at Wild Bill’s Tobacco, 20600 Ecorse Road, at 1:35 a.m. Nov. 6 revealed that the front door had been pried open and cartons of cigarettes and packages of vape pods had been stolen.

The district manager arrived on site and was able to show police officers surveillance camera footage of the two burglars. One was a white man of medium build with a black face mask, wearing a hooded sweat shirt, black sweat pants, black and white shoes and white gloves. The second person was a heavy-set black male with braided hair, wearing a black face mask, a gray hooded sweat shirt, gray sweat pants, and white shoes and gloves.

The surveillance footage showed the men using a pry bar to open the show door, then moving behind the counter to fill large plaid laundry bags with the stolen tobacco products.

The district manager said he would have his staff conduct an inventory to determine the amount of product stolen.
