WYANDOTTE — The driver of a Chrysler 300 bearing a stolen license plate, which was traveling north on Biddle Avenue near Emmons Boulevard at 11:49 p.m. Nov. 1, attempted to evade a traffic stop by fleeing at a high rate of speed, first north on Jefferson Avenue, then west on Outer Drive, before crashing in Detroit in a construction zone.
Two Detroit men, ages 21 and 18, jumped out of the car and tried to flee on foot, but were later apprehended.
The vehicle was found to be stolen, and the men were discovered to be in possession of loaded handguns. Both are facing felony charges.
