MELVINDALE — A 76-year-old man in the 17300 block of Wall Street reported Oct. 14 that his neighbor saw a black sedan stop in front of his house, from which a young Arabic man in his late teens or early 20s exited and tore down an Israeli flag from the flagpole in his yard.
Surveillance camera footage verified the neighbor’s account of the young man, who had curly brown hair and was wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt.
The responding police officers found the flag in a trash can several houses down the block and returned it to the man.
