TRENTON — A purse with credit cards was stolen the morning of Sept. 23 from an unlocked Chevy Equinox parked in the 3800 block of Longmeadow Drive, with the thief attempting to use several of the credit cards at two different Downriver businesses.
The thief attempted to use one of the credit cards at a Speedway gas station, and was captured on surveillance camera footage, revealing a white male in his late 20s or earlier 30s, with blond hair, and wearing a black shirt, jeans and a blue face mask. He was driving an older model Ford Explorer without a license plate.
The man later tried unsuccessfully to use one of the credit cards at the Southgate Walmart, 14900 Dix-Toledo Road.
