DEARBORN — A Dearborn Heights man ignored Dearborn police officers initiating a traffic stop at 1:57 a.m. Sept. 16 and continued driving, running multiple stop signs and speeding through a residential area before the driver turned off the vehicle lights and pulled over.

The car had after-market red undercarriage lights, which originally attracted a police officer’s attention.

The driver entered a residential area, ran five stop signs and drove 50 mph in a 25 mph zone. When the driver pulled over and provided his identification, he was found to have a prior offense. The car was impounded and towed, and the man and his three passengers were released at the scene.
