MELVINDALE — Three long bed trucks belonging to Solid Platforms Inc., 18818 Allen Road, were reported vandalized the morning of July 21 when a field supervisor discovered that the catalytic converters had been removed from the undercarriage of each of the vehicles.

A neighbor reported hearing loud noises at about 4:20 a.m. from the business’ parking lot.

The cost of the replacement catalytic converters was estimated to be $3,000 for each of the 16-foot-long bed trucks and $4,000 for the 24-foot-long bed truck.

Surveillance camera footage from the exterior of the building captured imagery of three people, wearing dark clothing and hoodies, with their heads covered, in the vicinity of the vandalized vehicles.
