SOUTHGATE — A woman whose Jeep theft was interrupted by a passing driver the morning of June 28 still has to replace the shattered rear driver’s side window and have the steering column damage repaired.
An anonymous third party reported two men breaking into a black Jeep in a parking lot in the 13000 block of Pinewood Way. When spotted, the men reportedly fled towards northbound I-75 in a tan Chevy.
The responding police officer ran the plate and notified the vehicle owner of the damage. She confirmed that the vehicle was intact and undamaged the night before.
