MELVINDALE — The owner of a black 2009 Mercedes Benz S550 had an unpleasant surprise the evening of June 10 when their car was impounded after it was left in a clearly marked “no parking by police order” area of South Dearborn Street during the Melvindale Days festival.
There was no license plate on the car, and the vehicle had no insurance of record.
