ALLEN PARK — Checkbooks from two different credit unions were reported stolen June 18 from inside a Ford Expedition while it was parked on Fox Avenue.
The victim said he discovered the theft when he found the vehicle’s center console open and its contents strewn about the vehicle. He is unsure whether or not the SUV was locked. There were no nearby surveillance cameras.
He was advised to always lock his vehicle and to never leave valuables inside. The victim was told to immediately contact his credit unions to cancel the stolen checks.
