WYANDOTTE — A suspicious vehicle that triggered a traffic stop for a minor violation led to the arrest of two people with a large amount of crystal methamphetamine in their possession.
The arrestees, a 26-year-old Melvindale woman and a 28-year-old Romulus man, were taken into custody the afternoon of June 2 in the 500 block of Superior Boulevard.
Deputy Police Chief Archie Hamilton said crystal methamphetamine has become prevalent Downriver.
“This is an extremely dangerous, highly addictive drug that can quickly destroy lives and communities,” he said. “The officer removed a large amount of this poison from our streets before it had an opportunity to destroy lives.”
