LINCOLN PARK — A 38-year-old Lincoln Park woman reported Feb. 13 that an identity thief used her personal information to open a line of credit Jan. 25 with GameStop, which was flagged on her credit report two weeks later.

The victim said she was undergoing surgery the day that the line of credit was opened. She said she contacted GameStop and canceled the line of credit.

She was advised to contact her financial institutions to flag her accounts for other suspicious activity.
