Taylor Council votes to eliminate study session schedule

November 17, 2022 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

TAYLOR — The City Council unanimously voted to eliminate regularly scheduled study sessions beginning in December.

Council members have discussed the possibility for several weeks. They voted at their Dec. 15 regular meeting to eliminate the meetings, which were usually held on the Mondays before the regular Tuesday meetings.

The council meeting schedule will continue with regular meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, and are open to the public. They also are cablecast live on Comcast and Wow, and live streamed on the city’s website.

The change does not prevent special study sessions or other meetings from being called in the future. Any public meetings will be published by the City Clerk well in advance of scheduled time, and are open to the public.

All council meetings, live and recorded, can be found here.
