MELVINDALE — A woman driving a blue 2004 Mercury Monterey with an expired registration and a damaged windshield Oct. 31 on Schaefer Road was found to have an expired driver’s license and no vehicle insurance.

She said she was picking the vehicle up from a repair shop for her cousin, who was mailed a citation for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate their vehicle.

The vehicle was impounded and towed, and she was advised to contact 24th District Court in Allen Park for an appearance date.
