SOUTHGATE — A malfunctioning bathroom fan generated enough smoke and flames the morning of Sept. 26 to trigger a fire alarm for a room at Motel 6, 18777 Northline Road.
The room was unoccupied at the time and a maintenance worker responded to the alarm. Due to his smoke exposure, the employee was taken to Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital for evaluation.
