RIVERVIEW — A traffic stop for an expired license plate the morning of Sept. 30 led to the discovery that the driver’s license was suspended and the vehicle was not insured.

The driver, a 44-year-old Southgate man, was told that his uninsured 2020 Chevy Equinox would be impounded and towed, and was advised to contact 27th District Court for an appearance date. He was then given a courtesy ride to his destination.
