MELVINDALE — Department of Public Works Director Larrie Ordus requested assistance Sept. 3 when a neighborhood dog was loose and preventing a crew from working in the 18600 block of Henry Avenue.
The responding police officer was unable to contain the dog, who successfully eluded capture.
The alleged owner of the dog denied it was his pet, but was warned about allowing it to run free, for which he could be fined.
