DEARBORN — An altercation at the Fairlane Town Center food court Aug. 27 between a housekeeping employee and a customer, a 35-year-old Wayne man, prompted a police officer response when the employee complained that the man bit him.

Upon review of the surveillance camera footage, it was determined that the housekeeping employee began to argue with the customer before shoving him to the ground, at which time the customer bit the man in what he said was self-defense.

The employee was gone when the police officers arrived, and the customer declined to press charges.
