Dearborn Heights residents Ali Saad and Donna Hamie stand between Fire Chief Dave Brogan and Mayor Bill Bazzi after they were honored at a July 26 City Council meeting for saving two teenagers from drowning. The pair rescued the unconscious teens, ages 14 and 16, from the bottom of a pool on June 28. According to a Facebook post from the city, the pair’s quick thinking saved the teenagers from from severe injuries before paramedics arrived on the scene.
