MELVINDALE — A white 2015 Maserati Ghibli was impounded the evening of July 4 when the driver, who had a suspended driver’s license, ran a red light at Outer Drive and Allen Road.

In addition, he was using an expired license plate from another vehicle, had no insurance for the vehicle, which was unregistered and only had a salvage title.

A record check revealed that the man had nine prior convictions for driving while his license was suspended. He also failed to change his address to his current residence on his Michigan identification card.

The Maserati was towed, and the man called for an Uber to return home.
