MELVINDALE — A man working a house in the 17900 block of Harman Avenue, who has let his pit bull escape from his residence multiple times, was cited April 22 for allowing his dog to run loose, for not vaccinating the dog for rabies and for violating the city’s ban on bully breeds.

The dog owner said he plans to move out of Melvindale soon.

The man, who had an outstanding warrant for a civil infraction of a local ordinance, was advised to contact the court within five days and to remove the pit bull from the city.
