TRENTON — An identity theft report was filed March 10 by a woman who said her personal information was compromised through a third-party insurance provider engaged by her employer.

She said to complete her individual enrollment, she had to provide her personal information online, including her Social Security number. Soon afterward, she and other employees were informed of the data breach.

While she has not become aware of specific illegal use of her private information yet, she said she has contacted the credit reporting agencies to flag her account, and said she plans to contract with a private credit monitoring company.
