TRENTON — Police spoke with a fraud victim Nov. 19 who said four fraudulent accounts totaling $12,495 were opened in her name.

She said she did not know when the accounts were opened since she noticed them recently while going over her credit since she is trying to purchase a house.

The woman said she already had contacted her Credit Karma customer service and was advised to make a police report. Based on what the victim was able to provide police from the Credit Karma app, the accounts were opened in 2019 and were still active.

All the accounts were listed with amounts of $4,363, $2,885, $2730, and $2,517. The victim was provided with the report number and advised to check her bank accounts for any suspicious activity.
