DEARBORN — A smart watch stolen from T-Mobile Wyoming & Diversey, 7518 Wyoming Ave., was returned after the thief promised to return it once police officers left the scene of the crime.

A store employee, who pulled up the thief’s phone number from billing information, initiated the phone call to the suspect. The store owner was given a police report, and was given time to decide whether or not he wanted to file charges against the individual.
