Garfield Elementary kindergartener William Martin got a surprise Tuesday when Mayor Joseph Peterson unexpectedly showed up during the school’s career day. William had chosen to go as the mayor of the city and Peterson went to the school to meet him in person. “Time it took to do this meet-and-greet: 30 minutes,” Peterson later posted on his Facebook page. “Picture and memories: priceless.”
