July 17, 2009 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

For the fifth straight year, thousands of classic car buffs and spectators will celebrate the automobile as they cruise historic Telegraph Road on Saturday in Taylor, Dearborn Heights and Redford Township.
The Telegraph Tomorrow Classic Car Cruise, named for the Telegraph Tomorrow Association that works to improve and promote U.S. 24, is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The route stretches from Eureka Road in Taylor to the south to Puritan Road in Redford to the north.
All car clubs and vehicles are welcome to participate in the cruise.
Dozens of Taylor businesses, churches and associations will participate.
In 1998, Wayne County officials took a leadership role and helped establish a nonprofit organization called the Telegraph Tomorrow Association. The group has been promoting and implementing a vision for Telegraph Road ever since.
For more information about Telegraph Tomorrow, call Dianna Battistone of the city of Taylor at (734) 374-4027. For updated information about the cruise, go to www.cityoftaylor.com/cruise.
