Some city facilities closed on Presidents Day

February 12, 2009 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN – Many city facilities will be closed on Presidents Day, Feb. 16.

Curbside rubbish pickup will take place on its normal schedule during the week.

The following facilities will be closed on Presidents Day: City Hall, all public libraries, the offices of the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority, the 19th District Court, and the senior citizen services area of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.

The Ford Center will be open, as will the Dearborn Ice Skating Center.

All city facilities reopen for normal business hours on Feb. 17.

Although Feb. 17 through 20 are Public Service Days, enforcement of parking enforcement has been suspended until April 6. Residents still should remove their parked vehicles from the street if possible to allow city crews to perform services more efficiently.
