Dearborn man dies in motorcycle crash

Fadel Alghazali, 22, of Dearborn died March 23 following a crash involving his motorcycle and another vehicle on Warren Avenue.

DEARBORN — A 22-year-old Dearborn man died March 23 after a crash between his motorcycle and another vehicle on Warren Avenue near Williamson.

Social media identified the victim as Fadel Alghazali. His funeral services were held March 25 at Al-Fayhaa Hall in Detroit and he was buried at Islamic Memorial Gardens in Westland.

According to a Dearborn Police Department press release, police and emergency responders were called to the scene of the crash on a report of an injury accident involving a motorcycle and a second vehicle about 4 p.m.

Emergency responders began providing first aid to Alghazali who had sustained serious injuries. Alghazali was transported to Beaumont Hospital-Dearborn where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the second vehicle was not injured in the crash. Police said drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor int he crash.

The crash is under investigation, and additional details will be released when the become available.

“The Dearborn Police Department offers its sincere condolences to the victim’s family and the entire community,” Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in the release. “This is a terrible tragedy and we are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the accident to please contact the Dearborn Police Department’s Accident Investigation Bureau at 313-943-2275.”
