ALLEN PARK – Proving that Idaho provides more than potatoes, Police Officer Jared Knudsen was sworn in by City Clerk Michael Mizzi at the March 12 City Council meeting with Chief James Wilkewitz.

Knudsen’s wife, Lauren, and children, Alexis, 7, and Carrson, 5, attended the swearing-in. Knudsen, who has family members living in the area, began work March 11 with the Police Department.

Wilkewitz said Knudsen has many years of previous law enforcement experience working as a road deputy in Idaho, and passed the required Michigan Law Enforcement test with “flying colors.”
