Man purchases roses with $100 counterfeit bill

HEIGHTS — Police are investigating a purchase at English Gardens, 22650 Ford Road, that involved a counterfeit $100 bill.

The bulletin posted on the Police Department’s Facebook page shows a heavy set black male at the cash register about 4:10 p.m. on Aug. 1.

According to the post, the suspect ordered a dozen roses and then paid for the flowers with a counterfeit $100 bill. He received over $80 in change before leaving the store in a gray mid-size sedan, possibly a Dodge.
