City of Dearborn holiday closings outlined

Trash collection delayed Christmas, New Year’s weeks

DEARBORN – City buildings will be closed for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, and the trash collection schedule will be affected both holiday weeks.

Trash and recycling collection will be delayed on day on Dec. 25, so people with a Monday pickup will be serviced on Tuesday. The pattern will continue through the week, with Friday’s trash district picked up on Saturday.

Trash and recycling collection will be delayed once again on Jan 1. Trash and recycling will be collected Tuesday through Saturday.

Residents with questions about trash and recycling service may call GFL at 844-233-8314.

The Dearborn Administrative Center and19th District Court will be closed Dec. 22 and Dec. 25. Libraries will be closed on those days, as well as Dec. 23, and Dec. 24.

The Ford Community & Performing Arts Center will be closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.

The DAC and 19th District Court will be closed Dec. 29 and Jan. 1. Libraries will be closed on those days, as well as Dec. 30, and Dec. 31.

The Ford Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 31, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 1.
