RIVERVIEW – A man shot in the abdomen Monday night at Greentrees Apartments, 19880 Fort St., is in critical but stable condition at Trenton Beaumont Hospital, with a suspect in custody.

The victim’s statement identified a 27-year-old Riverview women, Elise Renee Amidon, whom police contacted and took into custody.

Amidon was subsequently arranged before 27th District Court Judge Randy Kalmbach on eight felony counts, including assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying concealed weapons, three counts of felony firearm, and one count of misdemeanor domestic violence.

Police Chief Clifford Rosebohm said Amidon is cooperating with detectives.

Police responded about 9:30 p.m. Dec. 18 to reports of a shot fired and a woman yelling, with a witness reporting a gray Chevrolet leaving the scene soon after.

Trenton Beaumont Hospital reported shortly afterward that the driver of a gray Chevrolet dropped off a 22-year-old Riverview man with an abdominal gunshot wound.

A Ruger 9-millimeter semi-automatic handgun was recovered from the Chevrolet.

Rosebohm asks anyone with information concerning the case to contact the Riverview Police detective bureau at 734-281-4216.
