U.S. Air Force Band to perform free concert in Dearborn Oct. 8

DEARBORN – The United States Air Force Band of Mid-America will present a free concert at 4 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave.

Although the event is free, all patrons must have a ticket. Tickets — limited to four per person — are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the theater box office. The box office is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Tickets reserved on a will-call basis must be picked up at the box office prior to 3:45 p.m. on the afternoon of the performance. After that time, all unclaimed tickets will be distributed to patrons still seeking tickets.

The United States Air Force Band of Mid-America is a group of 45 enlisted professional musicians who musically represent the professionalism and excellence found every day throughout the United States Air Force.

This diverse ensemble’s repertoire ranges from symphonic band masterworks and traditional marches, to modern compositions and jazz. The band also features professional vocal soloists performing a wide variety of popular, classical, and patriotic selections.
