HEIGHTS — Music Authority School owner Pavel Vasilev, his family and friends celebrated moving his business to its new location during a ribbon cutting ceremony Sept. 13.
The school, a long time fixture in Dearborn Heights, recently moved to its new home – designed by Vasilev specifically for music instruction – at 25135 W. Warren Avenue.

The school has approximately 270 students, ranging from toddlers — who participate in the Music Play program — to adults. The school offers private lessons for students beginning at 5 years of age. Approximately 85 percent of the schools students are children.

The Music Authority offers music lessons for piano, voice, accordion, drums, flute, violin and brass. The school also offers a Rock Band Camp for intermediate to advanced students — divided into ages 9 to 11 and 12 to 18 — who are interested in performing in a group environment.
