National Day of Prayer

Religious leaders, community members, elected officials, public safety employees and Dearborn residents unite for National Day of Prayer at the Dearborn Administrative Center, 16901 Michigan Ave. May 4. The interfaith observance unites and honors all faiths with prayers written for natural disasters, families, education, elected officials, courts, cities and their residents, public safety workers, armed forces and more. Communities around the country observe the day on the first thursday in May since it was proclaimed in 1988 by President Ronald Reagan.
