DEARBORN — A Dearborn man died in a two-vehicle crash Nov. 11 at the intersection of Ford Road and Oakman Boulevard.

Imad Khalil, 23, was driving a black Ford Mustang west on Ford Road when a second vehicle was making a left turn onto Oakman. The turning vehicle struck the back of the Mustang causing it to spin and crash into the bricks of Big Ray’s Quick Lube, 5601 Oakman.

A surveillance video form the oil change facility shows the crash and that the speed of the Mustang may have been a factor. The video also shows a tire from the Mustang flying onto the elevated parking lot of the oil change facility.

Police officers, firefighters and emergency responders arrived to the scene about 12:30 a.m. to investigate.

The Mustang had to be cut in order to remove Khalil from the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are investigating the incident.

Funeral services for Khalil were held at the Islamic Institute of Knowledge Nov. 11 to 13.
