DEARBORN — Police are investigating a vehicle crash into a medical office building at 1 a.m. on Aug. 11 by a female driver.
Michigan State Police Metro South Troopers were informed that Monroe MSP Motor Carrier was in pursuit of a vehicle northbound on I-75 into Wayne County.
MSP Detroit Regional Dispatch Center kept touch with troopers by relaying information as the pursuit continued onto Telegraph Road in Taylor.
Metro South troopers were able to position themselves on Telegraph Road and I-94 and Northbound Telegraph near Ford Road.
The driver tried to flee police westbound on Ford Road and attempted to avoid a Dearborn Heights police vehicle as she made a evasive left turn and struck a curb.
Then, she lost control of her vehicle and accelerated into a medical office on Ford Road in Dearborn causing damage to her vehicle and business.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the woman to a local hospital for her injuries where she is in stable conduction.
There was no damage to patrol cars and no injuries were sustained to troopers.
Alcohol may be a possible factor in the incident. MSP Monroe is completing the investigation.
