DEARBORN – The Museum Guild of Dearborn will hold its seventh annual garage sale fundraiser from July 21 to 23 at the historic McFadden-Ross House, 915 S. Brady.
Sale hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The outdoor event will feature a “market like atmosphere” with donated items displayed under tents. Collectables, arts and crafts, furniture and more can be found at the sale, which helps support the Dearborn Historical Museum. Hot dogs, chips and beverages will also be available for purchase.
Bargain hunters will find about 25 tables that will attract a few thousand visitors throughout the three days, said Jack Tate, museum curator.
“It’s hard to keep count of all the people because they come in so fast,” he said. “It’ll be busy, and there’s going to be a lot of neat stuff.”
Booth space is available for people who want to sell their own arts, crafts and personal items. Individuals must provide their own table, chair, table covering, canopy and sign. Overnight security will be provided by the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War. The charge is $25 for one day, $40 for two days or $50 for all three days.
To rent space or to arrange a local pick up for items being donated to the sale, call Rick Danes at 313-363-3560. For more information on the event, call the Dearborn Historical Museum at 313-565-3000.
