ALLEN PARK – A 19-year-old Lincoln Park man allegedly rolled his car about 5:30 p.m. Jan. 22, and when officers arrived, they found a male passenger partially inside the vehicle.
The man was helped out and asked to stand on the sidewalk while police investigated. While officers were investigating, the teen walked away from the scene. He was detained within minutes, found while walking on Park Street near Englewood.
When asked why he left the scene, the man said it was because he feared his female friend’s father might show up, and he and the driver weren’t supposed to be together.
When booking the man for interfering with an investigation, officers found marijuana in the man’s boot. He was then charged with possession of marijuana.
Bond was set at $600 for the passenger.
