HEIGHTS — Police are searching for a woman they said robbed Comerica Bank, 4401 S. Telegraph Road, Jan. 14.

The woman entered the bank just after 3:30 p.m. and passed a note, stating she had a bomb strapped to her body, to the teller.

Shortly after, the woman fled on foot then entered a vehicle, possibly a grey or tan GMC Yukon, either a late 1990s to 2000s model.

The suspect is described as a black woman between 35 to 40 years old, between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall with a heavy build. She was wearing a black hijab, red scarf, grey Detroit Tigers hooded sweater with Detroit written in orange across the front and the Old English D logo on the left sleeve.

Police did not release the amount of money taken.
