Reward offered for information on robbers

MELVINDALE — Information leading to the arrest of two gun-toting masked men who robbed Check N Go, 18304 Allen Road, Oct. 20 could earn tipsters up to a $1,000 reward.

Investigators said one man entered the store about 4 p.m., and held two customers and a teller at gunpoint. Minutes later, a second man entered and handed the teller a bag, demanding she fill it.

Once they had the money, one of the men used tie wraps to bind the victims’ hands and forced them to lie on their stomachs. Police said the men then fled on foot.

Police suspect the men met up with a third person in a waiting vehicle.

The men are described as black, between 20 and 30 years old and between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall.
